Services
Home Security
Practical security that you actually know how to use.
Support that fits your situation
A security system is only useful if it is set up correctly and you are comfortable operating it. Kap Services installs, configures, and supports the equipment — then walks you through it until it makes sense.
We work on new installations, existing systems that have stopped behaving, and upgrades to equipment that has aged out.
Please note
Kap Services provides installation, configuration, and support services. We are not an alarm monitoring company and do not provide emergency dispatch or response. In an emergency, call 911.

How it works
What happens after you get in touch
Step 1: Describe your system
Tell us the brand if you know it, what is happening, and whether it is a home or a business. A photo of the panel helps.
Step 2: We assess the work
We confirm what we can support, flag anything that needs a permit or a licensed trade in your jurisdiction, and agree the scope with you.
Step 3: Install, configure, secure
Placement planned before anything is drilled, default passwords changed, and accounts and network access set up deliberately.
Step 4: We show you how it works
We do not leave until you can arm it, check footage, and add or remove a user without calling anyone.
Why choose Kap Services
What you can expect
Commitments about how we work, not claims about results.
Placement that produces usable footage
Camera angle, height, and lighting decide whether recorded video is actually helpful later. We plan that before drilling anything.
Secured, not just connected
Default passwords changed, accounts set up properly, and network access configured deliberately rather than left wide open.
You are trained on your own system
We do not leave until you can arm it, check it, and add or remove a user without calling anyone.
Straight answers about scope
We will tell you when a job needs a permit, a licensed trade, or the utility involved, before the work starts.
Questions
Frequently asked
Do you monitor the alarm system?
No. We install, configure, and support equipment. Around-the-clock monitoring and emergency dispatch come from a monitoring provider, and we can help you get your system connected to one you have chosen.
Can you work on a system I already have?
Usually, yes. Tell us the brand and roughly what is installed, and we will tell you what we can support and what may need the original manufacturer or provider.
Do I need a permit for an alarm system?
That depends on your city or county, and some low-voltage and alarm work requires specific licensing. We will tell you what your jurisdiction requires for the work you are asking for before we begin.
I rent. Can I still have cameras?
Often yes, with equipment chosen to avoid permanent changes to the property. Check your lease first — we will work within what it allows.
Need help with home security?
Tell us the brand if you know it, what is happening, and whether it is a home or a business. A photo of the panel helps.
