Accessibility

Kap Services works with people who are already navigating something difficult, often in a second language. A website they cannot use is not a small problem. This page describes what we have built for, what we have tested, and where we know the limits are.

What we aim for

We build to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. That is a standard, not a certificate — we are describing the target we build against, not claiming a formal audit has been done.

What this site does

• Keyboard access. Every link, button, menu, form field, and the assistant can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone. A “Skip to main content” link is the first thing you reach on every page.
• Visible focus. A high-contrast outline follows the keyboard, including on custom controls where the underlying input is visually hidden.
• Screen readers. Pages use real landmarks and headings in order, form fields have labels, hints and errors are announced with the field they belong to, and icons that carry no meaning are hidden from assistive technology.
• Contrast. Body text meets WCAG AA against its background. Colour is never the only way information is conveyed — notices pair a colour with an icon and a written heading.
• Zoom and resizing. Zooming is not disabled, and the layout reflows without horizontal scrolling from 320px upward.
• Touch targets. Interactive controls are at least 44 × 44 pixels.
• Reduced motion. Transitions are short, and are switched off entirely when your device asks for reduced motion.
• Language support. Accessibility and language access overlap. Translation and interpretation are services we offer — if reading this site in English is the barrier, that is something we can help with directly.

Known limitations

• The step-by-step service request form needs JavaScript. If you have it turned off, the contact form is a single-step form that works without it and reaches us the same way.
• We have tested with keyboard navigation and automated checks across every page and screen size. We have not yet commissioned an independent audit or formal testing with screen reader users, so we will not claim this site is free of barriers.
